Sometimes you need to pack up and hit the road. Get out of town, get out of your head. The last six months and change have been chaotic, and it’s unlikely to change any time soon.
We figured, “if not now, when,” and off we went. It was a nice afternoon on the beach after lunch at one of our Wrightsville favorites and then to Wilmington for a night at the Coastline Inn.
We wandered around until we found dinner at Platypus and Gnome. (Which is in the old Caffe Phoenix space.)
A lazy morning of writing, reading, and then a stroll for lunch before heading back ahead of the rain.
