Leave the World Behind

I watched this a few weeks ago and am just now getting a chance to write about it. Full disclosure: This is Sam Esmail doing his thing: Cryptic characters, funky camera angles, untidy endings, and so on.

He’s checking a lot of boxes for me, maybe for you.

Bonus: Julia Roberts, much like Denzel Washington, is a joy to watch when they lean all the way into an unlikeable but relatable character.

Up next 1282 In further proof of my terrible decision-making, I’m making a run at NaNoWriMo 2023. Based on the first session, I can’t see 50,000 words by December. And that’s fine. Here we go—again.
